85 king street

client: angela campbell optician

Due to the Grade One listing status, announcing the shop’s presence on the street was a challenge. Also, our proposals should not detract from the former banking hall’s primary function as a reception area for the new multi-storey offices behind.

In the adopted solution, the idea of the ‘shop window’ has been broken down into two ‘layers’. The proposed external signage have been designed to reminiscent the Victorian wrought iron railings. This has been enhanced and layered by internal suspended mirrors and neon lit logos. Shop fit out was modern, minimal and simple to enhance and compliment the quality of the products.
