Awarded first prize in a limited competition, the project incorporates 67 apartments above a ground floor office.
The site is located on the edge of the Manchester ring road. The concept is for a bifurcated building. One element facing the inner ring road is finished in a deep purple render that links to the heavy brick warehouses of Ancoats opposite.
The second element rises much higher, creating a single aspect apartment design to the top third of the scheme. This massing creates an elegant, slender tower that defines the edge of the Manchester urban area.
