swathling housing association

The competition asked for the design of affordable, suburban houses which are sustainable, flexible and extendable, with the ability to be built on various sites of varying densities and have instant ‘kerb appeal’.

The six house types are arranged as ‘double villas’ with in cartilage parking and the potential for future 1/ 2 storey accommodation between dwellings.

The construction is timber frame, super insulated, with vertical timber cladding.
